Lead Pastor

I am Beatriz Cardona, the Lead Pastor of New Hope Church. I’ve served in the church in several capacities over the years from cleaning ministry, Sunday School Teacher, Jail Ministry, leading Women’s Ministry, Campus Pastor and now Lead Pastor. I have been credentialed with the Assemblies of God since 2011.

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico until I was 15 years old, when I moved to the United States not knowing how to speak, write or read English. Through this experience I personally know what it is to struggle, and those experiences are what moves me to want to help others. I have been married to my husband Ernie for 30 years and am a mother to my two kind and smart daughters, Gaby and Ceci. I hold an AAS from SUNY Delhi and (fun fact) a Certificate of completion in the Art of Clowning from Hudson Valley Community College.

I consider my God given strength to be following His leading and to not giving up easily. I love God and I love His people. My heart’s desire is to see people in the community not only be saved by Jesus, but also for their overall life to be better. As each person is built up, so is the rest of the communities they live in. It starts with each one of us doing our part.
